When we check your engine coolant we use a PH test strip to check the acidity of the coolant. As the coolant ages and deteriorates it becomes acidic and starts to eat away at the metal engine parts. We have another tool to check the temperature of the coolant. When the coolant is new it should go down to approximately minus 50 degrees Celsi.. .
